I've been having real Mac-related dilemmas recently as my seven year-old 21 inch monitor is on its way out. Month-by-month the right side of the display has been gradually turning redder which isn't a good sign.
I've been keeping my eye out for something flat to replace the beast and recently found a lovely Formac monitor on sale that would compliment my G4 perfectly. Goodbye ugly monitor, hello plenty thin monitor.
Except, now it's arrived, I suddenly have discovered that Formac use the (only found on the G5) DVI monitor connector on their range of monitors. My only solution is to buy and install a £100 DVI PCI card so I can get my new screen up and running.
The whole situation would have been better if anyone in the UK actually had a suitable DVI card I could buy. So far everyone I've tried has em on backorder. Bugger.
