Is it sad to get into work and sit down and watch the whole of Steve Jobs' Keynote webcast from Macworld in San Francisco? I'm not a sad computer geek but I do love to know what's going to happen in the world of the Mac.

Trouble is watching Steve go on about the lovely new range of Intel-powered imacs suddenly made me realise that i've gone about the whole 'new monitor' situation completely arse-about-face. Why am I spending over £300 on a new flat-screen monitor and video card when know that old G4 is getting very near to the end of its life and will soon need upgrading for something a little nippier?



Anyway, i've made a bit of a rash decision and splashed out on a nice and shiny Intel-powered iMac from the AppleStore. I've also arranged to send back my Formac monitor and cancelled my video card order as well. It's probably all a bit rash but sometimes you've just got to treat yourself.
